چکیده

We report the first computational super-resolved, multi-camera integral imaging at long-wave infrared (LWIR) wavelengths. This technique has been made possible by the drastic price reduction provided by low-resolution LWIR uncooled detector technology. An array of FLIR Lepton cameras, each with a resolution of 80x60 pixels is synchronized and computational super-resolution and integral-imaging reconstruction is employed to generate a video sequence with light-field imaging capabilities and a pixel count improvement of a factor of ~ 4.

IRIS (InfraRed Imaging Spectrograph) is a first light instrument presently being developed for the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). IRIS will include an integral field spectrograph and an imaging camera, covering wavelengths from 0.84 μm to 2.4 μm (infrared range). IRIS will work with the Narrow-Field Infrared Adaptive Optics System (NFIRAOS), achieving an unprecedented angular resolution [1], cre...

Super-resolution imaging using a three-dimensional metamaterials nanolens

Super-resolution imaging beyond Abbe’s diffraction limit can be achieved by utilizing an optical medium or “metamaterial” that can either amplify or transport the decaying near-field evanescent waves that carry subwavelength features of objects. Earlier approaches at optical frequencies mostly utilized the amplification of evanescent waves in thin metallic films or metal-dielectric multilayers,...

Super-Resolution Imaging at Mid-Infrared Waveband in Graphene-nanocavity formed on meta-surface

Plasmonic structured illumination microscopy (PSIM) is one of the promising wide filed optical imaging methods, which takes advantage of the surface plasmons to break the optical diffraction limit and thus to achieve a super-resolution optical image. To further improve the imaging resolution of PSIM, we propose in this work a so called graphene nanocavity on meta-surface structure (GNMS) to exc...

Super resolution with superposition

Optical imaging and lithography, the processes in which spatial patterns are resolved or transferred onto a detector or substrate via photons, cannot produce spatial features that are much smaller than the wavelength of light. This limitation has its roots in classical diffraction [1], which had been considered as a fundamental limit to all such imaging systems. Most notably, computer chip manu...

Light Field Super-Resolution Via Graph-Based Regularization

Light field cameras can capture the 3D information in a scene with a single shot. This special feature makes light field cameras very appealing for a variety of applications: from the popular post-capture refocus, to depth estimation and imagebased rendering. However, light field cameras suffer by design from strong limitations in their spatial resolution, which should therefore be augmented by...
